Location
Hotel Roys is located on the southeastern side of the island of Aruba in the historical town of
Savaneta.
Savaneta was the original capital of Aruba and its oldest settlement, dating back to the
seventeenth century when the island was under colonial rule of the Dutch West Indies Company.
From the Reina Beatrix International Airport to Hotel Roys is a 15 minute drive by
car or taxi.
The capital of Oranjestad with the main shopping districts, the hotel area with beaches and the
industrial town of San Nicolas are twenty, thirty and ten minutes away by car respectively.
Regularly scheduled public transportation is available close by from 6.00 to 24.00 all days of the
week.

In Savaneta Santo Largo beach, excellent for getting a suntan or snorkeling, is nearby and at
walking distance.
Scuba diving, snorkeling and sea kayaking tours in the wider area of Savaneta, Pos Chiquito and San
Nicolas are available through local water sports operators.
Seafood specialties are served at the Marina Pirata (Pos Chiquito), Brisas del Mar or The Flying
Fishbone (both in Savaneta).
If you prefer a typical local food experience Zeerovers (Savaneta) or Charlie's Bar and Restaurant
on Main Street in San Nicolas are two excellent choices.
ATM service is available at the entrance of the Savaneta Camp (Dutch Marine Corps)
or the Savaneta gasoline service station.
