Curacao's Weather & Climate
The Island of Curacao enjoy
sunny and warm weather all year round due to its location at 12º
north of the Equator, and being well within the tropics. The Island receives very little rainfall, although
it is located just outside of the hurricane belt. Additionally, during the rainy season (Which usually begins
in October and ends in February), Curacao experiences occasional showers, mostly at
night, and sunny weather during the day. That is why the total annual rainfall average is only 22 inches (570
mm).
if there is a storm developing elsewhere in the Caribbean, Curacao will have only cloudy weather that usually
lasts only a day or two. Curacao has regular trade winds from the east that are constantly picking up speed during
the spring months. These trade winds are the reason that the Curacao weather, which is hot all year round, is kept
reasonably cool.
There are websites on the internet that give updated news of the current weather conditions around the area. If
you're taking a trip to Curacao, these websites can be very helpful to you.
The average temperature is about 27° C ( mid 80s F). Refreshing trade winds blow constantly from the east, picking

tropical storm brewing elsewhere in the Caribbean can cause uncharacteristically cloudy weather for a day or
two.
